I am a native Tennessean that has always had a passion for cooking and providing hospitality to others. I come from a long line of home cooks that really knew their way around a kitchen. My grandmother was my biggest mentor and teacher, and her mother was a cook by trade. I first started cooking in college, always wanting to try out new recipes with our friends and family and looked for any opportunity to have folks over for a dinner party. Years passed as I went down a successful career path in fashion and the legal field, but in 2020, many aspects of my life changed. I realized that what I was doing with my life wasn't at all what I wanted to do. I really wanted to go back to my original calling in life and what made me happy....to cook food and feed people.
After brainstorming with my sister Alex, the owner of APG Strength, who specializes in training youth athletes, Two Baskets of Figs was born. Many youth athletes struggle to eat enough protein, the correct amount of food before or after games, and find the time to eat something other than fast food with their busy schedules. I love that I have been able to step into this space for youth athletes, and their families, to provide healthy and enjoyable meals.
My career journey has now come full circle; carrying on the family tradition of cooking, and the three F's that my grandmother would have approved of,
Faith, Family and Food!

As a busy parent of a very active and extremely picky daughter, it's very hard to plan and create a healthy balanced meal to have on the fly. Two Baskets of Figs makes it super easy to have healthy meals and snacks ready to go without having to do deal with the prep. My daughter loves to use the meals to pack her school lunch as well as a healthy choice before games and after workouts. It makes me feel better as a mom to give her healthy options over fast food, and she loves the easy access and tasty choices. Mom win!

A common issue among young athletes is not eating enough food to support their activity. Many times this comes from busy schedules, lack of healthy school lunch options or pickiness. This can lead busy families to run through fast food drives throughs before or after games. This will not set your athletes up for success. Two Baskets of Figs meets this need by providing meals and snack options youth athletes will actually eat! They are packed with protein and made from wholesome ingredients.

As working parents with three teenage athletes, we are always on the go! Between games, practices, workouts, and our own jobs, getting a healthy meal or snack in my kids is not always doable. I love having protein balls and meals in the fridge from Two Baskets of Figs. The kids can grab and go and I feel good because the food is healthy and the macros are done for us! Best part is, my picky eaters LOVE everything!
